Russian Circles continue building anticipation for their upcoming album with the release of "Eluvial," a sprawling new instrumental that once again proves why the Chicago trio remains one of the most compelling bands in heavy music.
Rather than rushing to the finish line, "Eluvial" takes its time. Gentle, atmospheric guitar passages slowly evolve into towering walls of distortion before crashing into the band's signature blend of post-rock beauty and post-metal heft. It's a patient, cinematic listen that rewards every second, showcasing Russian Circles' unmatched ability to tell an emotional story without ever uttering a single word.
The accompanying music video mirrors that same sense of immersion, complementing the track's dynamic peaks and valleys with striking visuals that enhance the experience without distracting from it. Like the song itself, it's understated, atmospheric, and impossible to look away from.
"Eluvial" serves as the latest preview of Nine, the band's forthcoming album due August 28 via Sargent House. If the new track is any indication, Russian Circles aren't straying from the formula that's earned them such a devoted following. Instead, they're refining it, continuing to blur the line between crushing heaviness and cinematic beauty.
Russian Circles will also hit the road this fall on a headlining North American tour in support of Nine, bringing their immersive live show to audiences across the continent.
