The best emo hitmakers were always master linguists—think Ryan Ross borrowing from Invisible Monsters. Roderik modernizes this phenomenon in his head-banging new single, “All Or Nothing.” The track flows gracefully, guided by an incredibly healthy lead vocal and raw screams.

Sonically, the track feels familiar; these are the guitar tones and drum beats we were all raised on, with a twist. Roderik could easily open a set for The Used while still doing well on his headliner run. “All Or Nothing” showcases not only potential but actualized skill.

Roderik has effortlessly made his way into my regular listening with this single alone, thanks to his unmistakable love for the game. Hopefully, “All Or Nothing” will find its way into a modern classic full-length emo LP that will grace the Hot Topic band t-shirt wall for centuries.
