RHUMBA CLUB’S “GUILTY” IS THE '80S ANTHEM 2020 DOESN’T DESERVE
Rhumba Club has been on some musical journey over the last couple of years gaining support from the likes of BBC Introducing, CLASH Magazine, and GQ Magazine, who listed them No 14 in their “46 new artists to make 2020 better”. Doing just so, Rhumba Club’s latest effort “Guilty” cuts a thick slice of '80s pop just when it seemed we need it most.
The latest single is danceable, to say the least, reinstating '80s synth-pop with its pulsating synth bass, glittery chimes, and versatile funk licks. As for Falle’s vocals, they are a perfect fit, effortlessly expressing his inner Prince and macho-dynamism crafting an infectious powerhouse record.
With the world in quarantine, unknowing of what the future holds, it’s the perfect time to relive the past. And what better way is there to lift our spirits than to frolic to the soundtrack of a beyond retro ’80s inspired anthem.
