READER’S TOPICAL NEW SINGLE, “FARM TO TABLE” OFFERS AN IMPORTANT REMINDER
Good, ole’ fashioned rock n’ roll has always had at least a hint of commentary in each mega-hit, and Reader is not letting anyone forget it. Their latest drop, “Farm To Table,” is perfectly tongue-in-cheek, without getting them blacklisted from any top 40 charts.
The song has a catchy hook and an insane guitar solo towards the bridge, features that are otherwise lacking in many modern rock releases. Moreover, the song features a lot of heart; the undertones are a bit dark, but important topics within mediums like music are important for a society to grow.
Culture in the US is very business-minded, and Reader takes a moment to reflect on that fact. However, they don’t do it condescendingly. Instead, the hopeful, bouncy melody suggests that the tone is empathetic. We’re all in this together, as they say.
Plus, the track features some wicked instrumentation from the band. The aforementioned guitar solo only scratches the surface of what Reader accomplishes in this single. Everything in the mix, from drums to bass to rhythm guitar and vocal harmonies, is just a chef’s kiss.
