Portland, OR indie rock band Rare Monk is on the brink of releasing their sophomore album ‘Never Really Over’ which has a theme of the looming dread that comes with the end of the world. The theme is comprised of America back in the dark ages, with book burnings, witch hunts, the demonization of science, persecution at scale with a sprinkle of greed, idiocy, cruelty, and death. With most of the songs written in 2018 and 2019, the album's single "Space Song" is here to help you come to terms with your own mortality, harnessing the obscure reality that we are losing people every day as of recent. "The beauty of the carbon cycle is we always drink those who came and went before," says the band. "Some, possibly strange individuals find comfort in this, that nothing is permanently lost, instead transformed for another cycle".
