FREE THROW SHARE NEW SINGLE, ANNOUNCE ALBUM MOMENTS BEFORE THE WIND

Free Throw are back with a new single titled “Hero’s Grave,” offering another emotionally charged glimpse into their upcoming album Moments Before The Wind, out March 27 via Wax Bodega.

“Hero’s Grave” leans hard into what Free Throw do best: vulnerability without apology, big melodic swings, and lyrics that sit uncomfortably close to real life. The track feels heavy and reflective, but never stagnant, balancing emotional weight with momentum and hooks that linger. It’s cathartic, raw, and unmistakably Free Throw.

The accompanying music video reinforces that feeling of reflection and youth. Shot in what looks like an abandoned building, possibly an old office space, the video cuts between the band performing live and scenes of kids simply being kids. Hanging out together, playing video games, riding around in shopping carts filled with cheese balls, and throwing eggs against a brick wall. It’s messy, joyful, and unpolished, capturing that fleeting feeling of being young, restless, and present in the moment. The contrast between the decaying setting and the carefree energy hits hard, underscoring the song’s emotional core.

Alongside the new single, Free Throw have announced a North American tour in support of the album, hitting the road with Macseal, TRSH, and Wakelee. Tickets go on sale Friday, with VIP and early access available today at noon ET.

With “Hero’s Grave” setting the tone, Moments Before The Wind is shaping up to be a defining release for the band. Between the new music, the visual storytelling, and a stacked tour run, Free Throw are tapping into nostalgia, growth, and emotional honesty in a way that feels earned and deeply human.
