Indie-emo powerhouses Pool Kids are back with a vulnerable and sonically lush new single titled “Leona Street”, offering fans an emotionally raw glimpse into their next chapter. The track arrives alongside the announcement of their upcoming album, Easier Said Than Done, set for release on August 15th, and news of a North American headlining tour kicking off this fall.

“Leona Street” showcases everything Pool Kids do best: intricate guitar work, dynamic builds, and lyrics that feel like pages ripped straight from a private journal. It’s a slow-burning reflection on nostalgia, distance, and emotional complexity—delivered with the band’s signature mix of catharsis and technical precision. Frontperson Christine Goodwyne’s vocals float between confession and confrontation, layering vulnerability over tightly wound instrumentals that eventually erupt in a way only Pool Kids can pull off.

The upcoming album, Easier Said Than Done, is poised to be a leap forward for the band, following their acclaimed 2022 self-titled LP that helped solidify their place as one of the most exciting acts in the emo/indie rock space. With “Leona Street” setting the tone, fans can expect a record that’s both sonically expansive and emotionally unfiltered.

In support of the album, Pool Kids will hit the road this fall for their first full North American headlining tour, bringing their high-energy, heart-on-sleeve live show to cities across the U.S. and Canada.

If “Leona Street” is any indicator, Easier Said Than Done might just be Pool Kids’ most intimate—and explosive—release yet.
