The band, who belong to Penny, uses every moment of their new jam’s approx—three-minute runtime. With haunting guitar melodies, a locked-in rhythm section primed to get dance floors shaking across the pond and beyond, coupled with lush vocals and subtle but ingenious use of keys, “That’s Not The Girl I Met” feels like a classic 90’s alt-rock tune, covered by the finest 2000’s garage rockers. In short, it’s a winning combination, no matter how you slice it.
