PARADISE VULTURES PREMIERES NEW SINGLE AND ELECTRIFYING MUSIC VIDEO “CATACOMBS”

Paradise Vultures is the perfect blend of indie and classic rock n’ roll, creating a fusion of catchy, danceable choruses and guitar-centric verses that will knock your socks off. “Catacombs” is perhaps the perfect entryway into Paradise Vultures’ larger-than-life musical vision, in which the sky (and sometimes even Heaven itself) is truly the limit.

This single is the brainchild of a brilliant rhythm section, with Tommy Senter providing soulful vocals and an unforgettable bassline, accompanied by Matty Barreca’s get-up-and-dance drumming style. There is something incredible about a band that is made up of its rhythm section; you cannot replicate that kind of tight, synchronized playing with any other dynamic.

The song is best enjoyed for the first time with its accompanying music video. You can have one without the other, but the visual elements immerse you into the group’s world seamlessly - we have director/editor Ed Shiers to thank for this.

The pair met by a twist of fate; Senter was used to lineup shifts, since his group had changed face multiple times since its 2017 conception, but to say that running into Barreca was a happy accident would be an understatement. They ran into each other at a North Hollywood tiki bar in 2020, just before the world shifted forever–making movie magic before they even decided to become bandmates.

So, tying the whole creative vision together, “Catacombs” is about fate. It is about searching for the messiah in all the wrong places, failing to realize that real paradise (ha) can be found in the small moments, like conversing with a stranger at a tiki bar.

You really should check out the video the first time you listen to the song. There is some amazing acting work by Senter and Barreca, as they have to play various characters over, and over, and over again…

The themes within “Catacombs,” and especially its music video filled to the brim with metaphor, only scratches the surface of what Paradise Vultures has in store for their full-length LP “Born to Lose.” It’s a good idea to tune in now, so you can be ahead of everybody else when the duo becomes rich and famous from their fantastic work.
