ORA VIOLET DELIVERS AN INDIE CLASSIC WITH NEW SONG "DELICIOUS"
UK indie rockers Ora Violet pay tribute to the alt-rock and indie greats with their new song “Delicious”. The song features a classic lineup of guitar, bass, drums, and vocals that all come together for a Strokes inspired hit.
The bass in the intro tells me these guys listen and study indie and alt-rock and all the mechanics that make up the genre. The arrangement of the tune flows very easily and has a very catchy chorus. The guitars are beautifully layered providing a great counter-melody to the vocal components. Traditionally in most indie alt-rock songs the background vocals play a very important role with their “oohs and ahhs” and that is exactly what Ora Violet accomplished with this song.
The drums and bass mix perfectly together as the backbone for all the harmonies throughout the song. The vocals in verses give me heavy Alex Turner vibes from the Arctic Monkeys but still retain the originality of the band as they seamlessly transition into the chorus where you can catch the full vibe of the singer of Ora Violet.
I highly recommend this tune to anyone who is a fan of early 2000’s indie and alt-rock.
