NU‑HARDCORE QUINTET BODYWEB SIGN WITH FLATSPOT RECORDS, REVEAL SEETHING NEW SINGLE “DEADWIRE”
UK’s rising nu‑hardcore force Bodyweb has inked a deal with revered hardcore label Flatspot Records and unveiled their latest single, “deadwire,” complete with an explosive music video. The track sets the tone for their forthcoming deadwired EP, out September 5, 2025, via Flatspot.
“deadwire” is a visceral look at fractured relationships and personal growth. Vocalist Louis Hardy describes it as “about fading relationships, cutting people off, and seeking truth in a world of lies,” emphasizing personal responsibility: “being entirely blameless … is a surefire way to becoming disconnected from your own soul,” he adds. The video, produced by Martina Pastori, amplifies that raw emotion with dark, intense visuals that mirror the song’s emotional pull.
Bodyweb—composed of Higher Power’s Louis Hardy and members including PQ (electronics), Luke Thompson (drums), Tom Hobson (guitar), and Naomi Macleod (bass)—emerged from Leeds’ hardcore scene and has made waves with intense live performances and emotionally charged songwriting.
Their upcoming deadwired EP spans four tracks—no faith, shadow boxing, sugarcoated, and the title deadwire—which weave hardcore grit with nu-metal swagger, ambient textures, and electronic flourishes. The recording was self-produced using their live gear to preserve raw energy rather than polished perfection.
Leading up to the EP release, Bodyweb will hit the stage in the UK with dates in London (August 7) and Bristol (August 29), promising a taste of the live intensity fans can expect.
