"NO PRESSURE" BY SULTANS COURT IS A GROOVY TAKE ON INDIE POP

Sultans Court has taken a unique spin on a genre that was long overdue for a revamp. Taking cues from artists like Mac DeMarco, the group cultivated a smooth, effortless sound of their own in their new song “No Pressure.”

Aptly named, the track immediately calms listeners, encouraging them to vibe along with the grooving bassline, which integrates elements of classic 70s hits. Combining tried and true methods with modern production techniques creates an interesting song.

For a group based in Germany, the English wordplay in the lyrics is exceptionally impressive. One verse states, “Next time I will be falling apart./That’s alright with me/For as long as we play our part.”

Sultans Court has an ep coming in 2024, and if they continue along this experimental indie path, they could make some major moves across Europe and beyond. ‘No Pressure’ is very promising; this hidden gem will likely not remain hidden for too long.
