NAILS SIGN TO CLOSED CASKET ACTIVITIES, DROP ‘FEAR BASED LIFE’ 7-INCH

NAILS have officially joined the Closed Casket Activities roster and are wasting no time marking the occasion, releasing a new two-song 7-inch titled Fear Based Life.
The release features two brand-new tracks, “Dollar Bin Generation” and the title track “Fear Based Life,” both available digitally now. The physical 7-inch arrives October 9 through Closed Casket Activities.
“Dollar Bin Generation” opens the release with just under two minutes of the kind of relentless aggression NAILS have built their name on, while “Fear Based Life” stretches things slightly past the two-and-a-half-minute mark without sacrificing any of the band’s trademark intensity. Together, the tracks serve as a compact introduction to the next era of NAILS and a bridge toward the band’s fifth full-length album, currently expected in summer 2027.
The two songs were written collaboratively by the band in November and December 2025. NAILS produced the release, with Andrew Solis handling recording and mixing alongside additional recording from Kevin McCombs. Nick Townsend mastered the tracks. The artwork features contributions from Jef Whitehead, aka WREST, and Cavan Hoover.
The move to Closed Casket Activities also brings a longstanding relationship full circle. NAILS have worked behind the scenes with label founder Justin Louden since 2011, with Louden providing input on touring, business decisions, and the band's overall direction for more than a decade.
For a band that has spent years operating at the intersection of hardcore, grindcore, and extreme metal, Closed Casket Activities feels like a natural home. The signing follows NAILS’ 2024 full-length Every Bridge Burning and sets the stage for considerably more from the band over the next year.
NAILS will also take the new material overseas this fall for a run of UK and European shows throughout October.
Fear Based Life is now available digitally through Closed Casket Activities, with the vinyl edition arriving October 9.
