MOTHNOTLIVING “MAKES ME WONDER” WITH HIS NEW SELF PRODUCED TRACK

South Central solo artist, producer, and illustrator MOTHNOTLIVING has released his new track of the year titled “Makes Me Wonder.” With influences from artists such as Homeshake, Liv.e, The Radio Department, and Hovvdy, Mothnotliving has strengthened his sound and songwriting skills.

The song itself is written about longing, which is a feeling many of us can relate to. Especially when it’s an instinct for us to distance ourselves when we need the company the most. Is it the fear of feeling like a burden? Is it just our brains being mean to us for making us think that?

Feeling alone is a universal feeling; longing for a support system and reaching out your hands for the people around you are all tied together. The artist writes of a time when he felt alone and unfortunately didn’t have the right support system; the people in his life didn’t help him, and if anything, most likely made him feel even more alone.

“In your world

You’re indestructible

I had to push while you pulled

And rise from the floor.”

How hard it must be to ask for help and beg for someone to notice you’re in a bad place, just to be pushed aside and forced to fix yourself alone. MOTHNOTLIVING acknowledges through his music and journey that he isn’t the only one going through hard times, as the people around him can also be dealing with things. Does it ever make you wonder? “How low can it go until it’s lost?”
