MIKI RATSULA’S NEW SINGLE, “ELEPHANT” IS A COMFORT TO ALL WHO DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

Miki Ratsula is an indie singer-songwriter on a mission; this SoCal-based artist has made a commitment to all who have felt “othered” by individuals, or, more commonly—society at large.

Their new single, “elephant” takes the adage, “elephant in the room” to express the discomfort of feeling different from everyone else. They successfully reclaim that energy, insinuating that they, and all who follow their message, shouldn’t hide away for fear of judgment but rather embrace their natural beauty.

In a world that simultaneously encourages individuality while shaming it, Ratsula’s sincere message is deeply necessary. I’m very glad that young people have talented, driven artists like Ratsula to look up to.

Of course, the song is “good,” in technical terms; but sometimes, the message behind the music is far more important. This is one of those instances.
