Middle Youth is the solo, bedroom passion project of acclaimed producer Harper James. This subdued but still oh so dazzling new Middle Youth record truly is a sight [er…sound] to behold. The album’s titular track and new single, “Not Just Me” is a perfect encapsulation of Middle Youth’s sonic magic. Entrancing beats mixed with sublime synthesizers and some of the sickest bass grooves imaginable, all topped off by some stellar guitar work and Harper’s hazy yet haunting vocals. This is the type of track you could get lost in for hours.
