LUCIA & THE BEST BOYS RELEASE SHIMMERING NEW SINGLE "FOREVER FORGET"

Glasgow’s Dream Pop trio Lucia & The Best Boys waste no time when it comes to creating haunting pop-rock hits. Together frontwoman Lucia Fairfull, drummer Alasdair Scott, and bassist Christopher Frew Ballantyne form an absolute hit-making machine with songs aimed towards inspiring young women and encouraging younger generations to express themselves through music. An arpeggiated intro is followed by large reverberated drum hits and shimmering synths. Within moments, you are instantly hooked by Fairfull's lustrous vocals. Smooth, convincing, and absolutely glittering, "Forever Forget" takes you back to the dance floor and gets you moving to the pastime vibes of the '80s. The lyrics "I'm sorry you feel this way / You're capable of making a change / It's better to escape than to pretend" sets you up for a soaring chorus of complete confession, "It hurts if it's just in my head", giving way to the hook "I should Forever Forget".

"‘Forever Forget’ was the second song written for the EP "The State Of Things," says Fairfull. "I had to say out of my head, then go home and draw a line under the way I was feeling." She concludes by saying she was "dragging [herself] into the depths of Hell a bit". We have this song on repeat, and it won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

Catch Lucia & The Best Boys performing the EP in its entirety for a filmed live session for BBC Radio Scotland // BBC Introducing this October, and as main support for Dream Wife on their 22-date UK and European tour in April-May 2021.
