“LOVERS ALWAYS LOSE” IS A LUSH LOOK INTO TESSA RAE’S MIND

Tessa Rae has a way of instantly sucking you into her world in her new single “Lovers Always Lose.” Her ‘90s inspiration mixed with modern techniques makes this a true renaissance track – as well as a celebration of Tessa’s talents. 

This track is incredibly bass-forward – immediately setting the vibe for an addictive alternative pop hit. Each drum hit calls out to your emotions. It has sprinkles from the greats, taking tempo inspiration from Massive Attack with the spirit of Sneaker Pimps. She’s also got this prowess – similar to the likes of Charlie XCX or Addison Rae – that gives serious popstar vibes.

Tessa’s voice is pure honey, something that meshes well with a hypnotizing track like this. She takes it slow, but it’s obvious that each word is said with intention, creating a sound that truly makes for a perfect seductive vibe. The hook is so catchy that there’s no way you can listen to this song just once. 

“Lovers Always Lose” oozes pure ecstasy, with Tessa Rae delivering her all in every note and spine-chilling sentence. It’s obvious that she knows who she is, and we can’t wait to hear what’s next for her. In the meantime, though, I’ll be bumping this track during my late-night writing sessions.
