Jesse Miller (bass, modular synth) said, "Red Rocks is one of the most beautiful and iconic venues we've had the pleasure of playing. We're very excited to get back there and have this opportunity to stream a live show from a place that has meant so much to us over the years."

While this five piece band is hard to define musically, their instrumental jamband has relied more groove-based melodies instead of shredding guitar solos. Influenced by classical electronic dance music, funk, post-rock, and dance-rock, Lotus has created a unique and original sound. Lotus’ newest album Free Swim was released August 21st and is available digitally and on vinyl. Written and produced by Jesse and Luke Miller, the 10-track album incorporates a groovy mix of instrumental funk, disco, psychedelia, and jazz music. The jazzy-house song “Catacombs” that opens the album was inspired by artists like Daft Punk, St. Germain and Nile Rogers while the songs “Sepia Rainbow” and “Earl of Grey” sound like vintage funk songs. “Bjorn Gets a Haircut” will make you way to dance to the head-bopping cosmic disco tune. Since their formation over two decades ago, Lotus has actively toured the US while influencing many younger bands in the scene. Having started in dingy basements, Lotus’ performance at Red Rocks Amphitheater will be a significant milestone in the bands promising career.
