LITTLE HAG STAKES ITS CLAIM PUTTING BITCH ROCK ON THE MAP WITH A MODERN AND DARING NEW SINGLE “THE MACHINE”

Ashbury Park, NJ, has for decades been synonymous with Bruce Springsteen, but now here comes Little Hag, self-proclaimed “bitch rockers, who also hail from that infamous city and state. Little Hag truly offers a different musical flavor than “The Boss.” The band colors its eclectic and stylized sound with synth-wave, indie electronic, and indie pop. “The Machine” pushes boundaries of thought and controversy, being very independent-minded. The video that accompanies the single is fairly bare bones, with tools, wiring equipment, musical pedals, and other assorted effects sprawled while singer/songwriter Avery Mandeville goes into detail about “her vibrator, which doubles as a metaphor for the AI revolution.” This is Mandeville’s journey laid bare, characterized by direct, blunt, and raw emotion and the ensuing outrageous and audacious commentary that goes with it. Formed in 2016, Little Hag also features guitarist Matt Fernicola and drummer Owen Flanagan, who bassist Mitchell Warren-Devlin and keyboardist/vocalist Cara Introcaso have since joined. They have a new album set for release on August 23rd. “The Machine” is the first single off that release. It stands out for its unique and provocative content and approach, merging the ideology of a personal narrative with a technological perspective.
