LITERARY AUTHOR TRAVIS ATRIA RELEASES NEW SINGLE "JAZZ CIGARETTE"
Literary author Travis Atria who brought you “Traveling Soul”, a biography on legendary soul\R&B singer Curtis Mayfield and Better Days Will Come Again, a second chronicle on American jazz trumpeter Arthur Briggs has released a new stoner single “Jazz Cigarette” on his debut LP album Moonbrain, which is set to release on the first couple days of April.
It’s an amazing slow jam that brings awareness to possible dangers of global warming if not regarded by the public and talks about raising ocean blue waters causing high concern. The track also carries one of the smoothest trombone sounds provided by Doug Fischer that will cause eargasms all night while having a Jazz cigarette provided by your local dealer, and Sam Moss with Audrey Campbell come in clutch with the amazing backing vocals when needed.
“As far as I know, this is the only slow jam about climate change ever written. It might also be the only pop song to feature the word ‘acidifying,’” says Atria. The title and chorus were designed to counterbalance the heaviness of the verses like if you’re not listening closely, you won’t realize what it’s about. I like the contrast. And I didn’t want this album to beat you over the head.” Says Atria.
The fact that Travis Atria is a writer and has been recognized by societies like Midland Authors is indeed a big deal because we need more literary respected authors writing music, like David Duchovny for example who is a writer and now plays music. I can’t wait to read more and more books from this man and don’t forget to check out “Jazz Cigarette” out now!
