LINKIN PARK ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM WITH A SHINY NEW SINGLE AND VOCALIST AMIDST JAW-DROPPING SURPRISE COMEBACK LIVESTREAM
Groundbreaking nu-metal group Linkin Park have acted as the musical awakening for the masses for years. New generations of fans resonate with emotional lyricism, innovative instrumentals, and of course—an unforgettable vocalist. Chester Bennington paved the way for many, establishing his band’s presence at the forefront of heavy metal, regardless of subgenres. After his tragic passing in 2017, many were left wondering if the band would continue.
They’ve been teasing an announcement, in true Linkin Park fashion, by trolling their fanbase with a countdown that stopped…and then counted up.
While this Red Herring was frustrating for many, it had a bit of truth to it: LINKIN PARK IS BACK!!!
They just dropped a crazy new single called “The Emptiness Machine” which features some surprises…including, a badass new vocalist, Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara fame. Colin Brittain of Sueco and All Time Low is joining the group as their drummer. This new dynamic paves the way for new voices to be heard, furthering Bennington’s musical vision.
Though sometimes controversial, post-humous lineup switches have proven to work incredibly well for some bands, like when Adam Lambert joined Queen. But hopefully, this will not be a “with Rome” situation.
Thankfully, Armstrong’s vocal range, stage presence, and musical knowledge make her fit Linkin Park like a glove.
The group also announced 6 arena shows, including a hometown show at the Kia Forum on September 11.
They have an album to be released on November 15 called ‘From Zero,’ which is available for pre-order now.
And, of course, major kudos to Linkin Park for continuing on. This brave dedication to the craft is badass, proving courage and perseverance are both metal AF.
