LIMÓN LIMÓN FASHION FUTURE-RETRO GROOVE IN “LONG DISTANCE”

LA-based Indie Future duo Limón Limón comprised of Jason (vocals, guitar, bass) and Rand (Keys, Synths, Drums) have now released their latest single “Long Distance” along with a retrowave style music video. Together the duo fuse new and old crafting an indie space age groove with the use of live instrumentation, inventive lyricism, and the combination of vintage and digital synthesizers. 

“Long Distance” utilizes 80’s style music production introducing the record with a reverberant drum machine pattern and arpeggiated synth bass line. Limón Limón then wonderfully introduce their signature future-retro indie sound establishing a warm, delicately textured groove that runs throughout the track. As for the vocals, they are infectious and extremely charismatic sitting finely on top of the atmospheric instrumental. The track is a perfect middle ground between chill and danceable. 

“Long Distance” is highly expressive and unique in its voice, casting an image of a synthy sunset drive along the coast to meet a lover situated hundreds of miles away. Wonderfully put together, the track draws from electronic influences merging them with a natural live feel, crafting a distinctive pleasant-sounding single.
