LIMANDI'S NEW SINGLE "HOPIN' YOU'LL BE FINE" IS FULL OF GOOD INTENTIONS AND WELL WISHES

Not exactly breaking new ground, “Hopin’ You’ll Be Fine” is ultimately a sketch of a song that is really subject to the listener’s individual interpretation. Though the song does have an intricate musical arrangement powered by the complicated vocal harmonies that layer Limandi’s raspy, little girl voice into a wall-of-sound effect. It is hypnotic and dramatic sounding.

The friend in question that Limandi is worried and concerned about seems to be struggling with addiction and recovery issues. Like many people in life we love and care about, there are no easy answers or solutions to help them overcome their problems, nor is it anyone’s responsibility ultimately to “fix them.” All one can do is send light and love and pray they find their way. Limandi seems to be doing that and detaching in a healthy way that works for her. Yet, it’s obvious she is torn by her conflicting feelings.

The longing is palatable and expressing herself in song is cathartic. That is the message, tension and struggle apparent in “Hopin’ You’ll Be Fine.”
