LET'S BLOW THIS POPSICLE STAND WITH BRIXTON ALLEY'S NEW SINGLE
We've all been there. Party anxiety heightens, and once you get there, your balloon totally deflates. Looking at this past year, we're all ready to ditch the party, it's lame and we're so over it. Pop punk's Brixton Alley is anything but stuffy company with the new single "This Party Sucks".
The British trio tries to channel a fun and explosive sound to cap off this troublesome year. "'This Party Sucks' was born out of a year spent mostly in lockdown in Melbourne", says the band. "The song title is a nod to the fact that 2020 has been like being stuck in a rubbish party that you don't want to be in". The trio says that there's a deeper social commentary in the single. "The idea that a lot of people conform to certain styles and ways of life, if you don't fit in, it can be tough". They are just like you and me, "you see someone, wearing Dr. Martens, clearly standing out from the crowd and they realize they're not alone, being yourself is what really matters".
