LEEDS, UK-BASED INDIE MASHUP BAND PURPLE THREAD DROP FIERY NEW SINGLE "GIMME MORE"
Picture this: it’s 8 PM in Los Angeles. You’re debating on whether or not to make it a night to remember yet you don’t have the energy. Sure, a bump or two would help yet you’re not as good-looking as River Phoenix, and you’re not into the whole dying thing. So… what do you do? Crack a filthy Red Bull? Naw, you put on the latest single by Leeds-based indie-pop artist Purple Thread titled “Gimme More” and instantly jump up like you’ve been stabbed with epinephrine.
The band’s latest single is an intoxicating brew of punk, indie pop, a dash of rugged rock. Fronted by Liz Mann, the track takes the listener on a blazing, energy-fueled bender through the sonic airwaves of rock. Mann’s vocal presence on the song is undeniable and easily could do a competitive arm-wrestling contest with Debbie Harry’s voice. Moreover, the song’s instrumentation is tight and creative. Powerful guitar riffs captivate the listener and will surely perpetuate the desire to become a shredder. A resounding baseline coupled with impenetrable drums forms the backbone of not just this song, but a band that will be seeing a ton of stages in the near future.
