LE ROX PURIFY THEMSELVES WITH THEIR GRITTY NEW SINGLE “DON’T WANNA”

Le Rox are back with a crushing new single, “Don’t Wanna.” The London-based hardcore punks rose from the ashes of previously dissolved bands to form a supergroup of raw, influential musicians, proving their worth with a track that encapsulates all their experiences and emotions.

“Don’t Wanna” is an odyssey that kickstarts with chunky metal riffs, speeds straight to some punk rage, grabs some hardcore grooves while mixing in a chaotic breakdown, and eventually lets the dust settle to conclude a beautifully angry tune. If you’re feeling violent, Le Rox successfully scratches that itch with the energetic “Don’t Wanna,” whose frenetic music is only eclipsed by lead singer Laura Le Rox’s angry, passionate vocals. Based on her vocals and lyrics, the brash frontwoman comes across as someone you do not want to mess with.

Many groups have done it before, but Le Rox’s brand of self-described “sad girl sounds” stands out with their ability to switch gears mid-song, as evidenced by the punk and hardcore back and forth in “Don’t Wanna.” If you need to wash away your sins and clear your lungs, play “Don’t Wanna” on full blast.

“Don’t Wanna” by Le Rox is out now, off their EP Homesick, out on Oct 31.
