SOHN UNVEILS TWO NEW SINGLES, “LET GO” AND “ASCENT,” AHEAD OF ALBADAS (DAWN SONGS)

British producer and composer SOHN is back, and he’s not just easing into a new era; he’s stepping into the light. Today, August 20, the artist dropped two new singles, “Let Go” and “Ascent”, while announcing his next album, Albadas (Dawn Songs), due out October 10 via his newly launched label, adaptpivotmove (APM Records).

After three acclaimed records with 4AD and production work for artists like BANKS, Kwabs, and Lana Del Rey, SOHN has carved out a distinct lane blending warm, emotional melodies with electronic precision. With Albadas (Dawn Songs), he’s shifting toward a quieter, more contemplative sound that prioritizes texture, mood, and the potential of each new day.

The two singles play like mirror images. “Let Go” carries the glow of sunrise, stretching across the mix with expansive tones and a sense of renewal. It’s cinematic, warm, and feels like breathing fresh morning air. “Ascent”, on the other hand, is submerged in floating synths and a low-burning tension that never fully releases, drifting with the unease that often lingers alongside new beginnings.

SOHN built the album in the solitude of his home studio, and launching APM Records is his way of creating a space for more exploratory, process-driven projects that don’t have to fit neatly into standard song structures. If “Let Go” and “Ascent” are any indication, Albadas (Dawn Songs) promises to be a meditative, highly personal body of work—an album about cycles, renewal, and the strange mix of hope and doubt that comes with the dawn.

Albadas (Dawn Songs) arrives October 10. Until then, SOHN’s twin singles will keep fans guessing which side of dawn they’ll find themselves on.
