LAUNDRY BOYS' NEW TRACK HAS GIVEN ME ALL THE CONFIDENCE I NEE

Swedish duo Laundry Boys have released their new single “American Confidence,” and this writer is convinced it's a hit. The duo describes their music as the hypnotizing feeling you feel when looking at your spinning clothes in the washing machine—the iridescent colors from the soapy bubbles that transport you to a place far away from the laundromat. The constant spinning is similar to their constant drum melody, which will have you floating away from your daily errands of the day.

The new track is perfect for your laundry day playlist but can also be found in your low-fi relaxing playlist because of the melodic guitar. It is a comforting sound to hear when being stressed due to daily tasks. The duo describes their music as a stoner rock sound from Cali mixed with desert blues from North Africa. The slow-tempo sounds are perfect to unwind and sink yourself into the lyrics.

Being American myself, I'm quite intrigued by the romanticization of American confidence—the act of simply walking up to someone smoothly with a compliment and hoping they choose you for the night.
