LADYTRON RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE “I BELIEVE IN YOU”

Ladytron are back with their first new music since Time’s Arrow, and their latest single, “I Believe in You,” feels like a statement of intent. Any doubts about the band’s future vanish the moment Helen Marnie’s voice floats in—haunting, direct, and locked to a beat that’s equal parts hypnotic and dancefloor-ready.

At more than six minutes, the song takes its time. Layers of synths and vocal loops swirl and expand, building into something both intimate and cosmic. The lyrics flirt between sincerity and irony—“I believe in whatever you are”—while encouraging the listener to lie, a tension that runs through the whole track. Lines like “like a sea of falling stars” and “like the birth of an idea” stick, little flashes of poetry inside the haze.

It’s one of Ladytron’s most intricate songs to date, but it still moves with the pulse of the club, proving they can be cerebral without losing the groove. The video drives the point home with a dreamy, washed-out aesthetic that feels like paging through someone else’s memories.

The release also arrives at a moment of renewed attention; Hideo Kojima recently shouted out his love for Ladytron online, pulling curious new ears into their orbit. For longtime fans, though, “I Believe in You” feels like reassurance: Ladytron are still very much alive, and still making music that lingers long after it ends.
