KILL MY COQUETTE RETURNS WITH KILLER PUNK TRACK “NO D”
LA punk-rock unit Kill My Coquette has an eclectic background and classic sound. Their efforts have won the hearts of legacy punk rockers, and deservedly so. The band’s latest effort, a hilariously tongue-in-cheek single called “No D,” is full of scrappy rock n’ roll goodness.
Of course, a rowdy, high-energy single like “No D” will always draw a crowd thanks to tight instrumentalists. However, it’s not enough to play fast and hard (ba dum tss….). Rather, modern punk artists need to find something within their writing style that lets them keep up in a fast-paced scene.
Kill My Coquette does that effortlessly; Natalie Denise Sperl has one of the coolest rock voices I’ve heard in a hot minute. Her natural grit, charisma, and flow make the single play effortlessly. The lyrics’ humor helps, but they are met with the right delivery.
Kill My Coquette should be on your “ones to watch” lists if they aren't already. Their vibrancy, raw enthusiasm, and sense of humor are not to be missed.
