The Swedish shoegaze masters in Kallsup have crafted one of the most hypnotic/compelling tracks of the year… we’re barely in January! Their new single “Golfströmmen” [Swedish for gulf stream] feels like a warm and comfy ocean current. Guitar notes echo and linger inside the listener’s psyche; cymbals resonate like crashing waves while bass grooves ripple like rocks tossed into an ancient pond. The interplay between male and female vocalists is jaw-dropping, especially during the song’s final minute.
