J.PAUL DROPS KILLER DREAM POP ANTHEM ON "SUMMER FOREVER"
The temperature might be dropping and the gloomy season has finally set in, but j.paul’s latest single, “Summer Forever” has the uncanny ability to transport us all back to warmer times. “I’ll die someday, I hope it’s summer when I fade away,” he exclaims in his new jam’s opening line. j.paul’s infectious brand of dream pop is on full display here, with ethereal guitar tones that would make The Cure proud, clever use of synthesizers, and perfectly programmed drum beats [his bio describes himself as “a guy w/ a drum machine”] that mesh seamlessly with his slightly hazed out but clear enough to sing along, vocals. The end result is a three-and-a-half-minute slice of dream pop heaven.
