JIMMY BUTLER STUNS IN NEW FALL OUT BOY MUSIC VIDEO FOR “SO MUCH (FOR) STARDUST” SINGLE

Fueled By Ramen

Fall Out Boy is known for pulling rabbits out of invisible hats. For the past week, the band has been teasing a music video with a special cameo appearance. Fans were shocked to find out that the special guest star was none other than Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler.

In late 2023, Butler made his debut as emo heartthrob “Heat Wentz,” adorning classic black eyeliner and perfectly kept side-swooped bangs to match the Fall Out Boy bassist’s iconic look.

Acting as the center of a Venn Diagram, fans of Butler and Fall Out Boy had been buzzing for months, wondering what the unlikely dynamic duo were plotting.

The music video is a campy country dreamscape, encapsulating the term “y’alternative” while staying true to Fall Out Boy’s love for cinematic music and music videos.

The song, “So Much (For) Stardust” has been described by Wentz as “weird for radio,” but that’s what makes it so loveable. It features Patrick Stump’s best Danny Elfman impression, with low vibrato and a 90s boy band style fade out. It is perfectly Fall Out Boy enough to be a radio single.

Watch as Heat & Pete Wentz come together in the silly “So Much (For) Stardust” video, complete with a subtle nod to Buddy Holly. Only Fall Out Boy could get Jimmy Butler to dress up in a purple country western suit to match with his alter ego Pete Wentz, and frankly, we are so glad they did.
