JACK DEAN’S NEW TRACK “ANGEL” IS CATCHY AND INFECTIOUS POP ROCK

“Angel” isn’t an incredibly complicated lyrical single, but the emotions and feelings of UK singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer Jack Dean are.

Dean is stressed out and struggling because he is dealing with a slippery femme fatale who’s an obsessive object of his affection and desire.

His firm, searing vocals are expressive and expansive in range. Both polished, raw, and gritty, it’s a good combination and balance of styles that keep the accessible single from being too middle of the road.

There’s a surprise element with a choir that appears coming into and out of a song, giving the likable track a more retro, soulful, and heartfelt vibe. The production is clean and polished for the most part.

All the arrangements and instrumentation jell and synch well together. “Angel” is a powerful, concise single. There are practical and exciting peaks and valleys within an involving, engrossing three-minute song.
