JAKE CASSMAN’S “I THINK I’M HAPPY” GIVES A POP ROCK NOD TO ELTON JOHN AND BILLY JOEL WITH GRIT AND PASSION

Maybe singer/songwriter/musician Jake Cassman isn’t directly influenced by the titans of contemporary music, Billy Joel and Elton. Still, their zest, feisty spirit, and intensity of performance are heard and felt in “I Think I’m Happy.” The opening piano parts are as dynamic and strong as anything the two legends have played, not better, but memorable and stand out.

When Cassman vocally rips into the biting lyrics of this Everyman song/anthem, the formidable and powerful guitar, bass, and drum work on this hard-hitting track brings it all home.

Cassman has poured every ounce of his being and sweat into this song. He is struggling internally, exorcising some demons and trying to make sense of life.

“I Think I’m Happy” is a song in which the listener feels connected as most people do, “dealing with life” and knowing no one is alone. It may be part of Jake Cassman’s story and journey, but not the final destination.
