NYC’s Zuli Jr. has one of the raddest songs of 2021 up his sleeve. Zuli’s new track, “Her Manner” is a playful yet soulful blend of indie pop, electronic, and R&B that needs to be experienced to be fully appreciated. The video for “Her Manner” is also, appropriately bonkers. Zuli’s voice is smooth and inviting as hell, the type of croon you wouldn’t mind listening to singing the phonebook. The track’s infectious, 90’s bump and grind style beat allows Zuli’s voice to shine, while the song’s modern 21st-century production quirks and, no lie, one of the coolest damn guitar solos this jaded reviewer has heard in ages, keeps things fresh for your ears. This song, and its video where Zuli guides you through an apparent psychotic break from reality, cannot be recommended enough. Check this one out ASAP.
