pleaselevitate is like a Pinterest board for your ears. Their melodic, dreamy indie pop is catchy and memorable, with their new single “in the dark” being a good gateway moment for new listeners. 

‘Tis the season for long solo drives in the rain, and this danceable track is the perfect soundtrack for that. It gives undertones of your local Urban Outfitters, in the kindest way possible. I don’t think that chorus will be out of my head for at least another week.

Ethereal vocal production takes listeners’ ears to another dimension; the techniques used throughout the song are expertly crafted, giving the song a broader reach than the typical indie crowd that one might anticipate.

This was my starting point for pleaselevitate, and I’m eager to hear more. I love the introspection within the lyrics, as the singer wonders what her impact will be on the world at large. Singles like this encourage new audiences to dip their toes in further, allowing the indie staple wet reverb and energizing chorus to take over as they coast along the 5.
