ILL PEACH are a pair of pop music maestros in the early stages of unfurling their plan for [sonic] world domination. The two artists, Jess Corazza and Pat Morrissey, respectively, honed their craft writing tunes for the likes of Pharrell Williams, Weezer, and SZA. Now they’re ready to just do the dang pop music phenom thing themselves. Their new single “Gum” is a hypnotic slow-burner, lurching along at a slow pace, letting every guitar jangle and booming bass drums build and build until you’re fully immersed in the chorus, whether you want to be or not, the track just grabs you. Their accompanying video for the tune is just *chef’s kiss* a hella cinematic adventure that unfolds just as dramatically as the music.
