HOW TO DRESS WELL’S NEW SINGLE “CONTINGENCY / NECESSITY (MODALITY OF FATE)” IS A GENRE DEFYING EPIC

How To Dress Well is the brainchild of Los Angeles musician Tom Krell. His new single “Contingency / Necessity (Modality of Fate)” is just a taste of the vast sonic landscapes Krell is ready to explore on his upcoming full-length album, I Am Toward You; which drops May 10th on Sargent House! How To Dress Well’s new jam takes an indie-style pop song and runs it through a kind of ambient electronic music-type filter. Gorgeous guitar notes that sound like they were plucked out of the fluffiest clouds in the sky contrast with a sample of pouring rain Krell recorded in Germany years back. His voice sounds both sad, yet pleasantly inviting. Overall, it’s a beautifully hypnotic gem of a track.
