Highline, Australia’s finest new indie rock sensations, have a stunning new track called “Exit A” ready to envelop your soul. This slow-burning jam is a veritable roller coaster of sounds and emotions. The song’s low-key beginning transitions into a twangy jam session that leaves plenty of room for each guitar note and ride cymbal stroke to linger, while unconsciously singing along to the track’s oh-so-inviting vocals. Shortly before the three-minute mark, “Exit A” ascends to a whole other sonic plane of existence, culminating in a two-minute blowout of a closing session with every band member going full tilt on their respective instruments. A must-hear song if there ever was one.
