"HAPPY PLACE" BY CHLOE STAR IS YOUR NEW POP-PUNK ANTHEM

CHLOE STAR brings true pop-punk to life, with heavy guitar riffs, a catchy chorus, and powerful vocal melodies. Her new single “Happy Place” is equally classic and modern; this dancy, uplifting anthem is a reminder of why the genre exists in the first place. The chorus sarcastically insinuates that Los Angeles is, “her happy place,” but there are layers of real optimism throughout.

Lyrically, the song’s edgy tone is not overdone, but rather, it emphasizes Chloe’s message–being yourself is way cooler than fitting in.

She also acknowledges that pop-punk kids know exactly two colors: “Some days it’s pink, some days it’s black.”

Small details like that are not unnoticed, as Chloe has done plenty of research via her own experiences. Clean production elements still allow the song to sound just gritty enough, in true pop-punk fashion.

Every second of this song reflects Chloe’s undying love for a genre that helped raise her. Taking inspiration from her favorite band, Third Eye Blind, Chloe’s ‘Happy Place’ states that the music industry might not be all sunshine and rainbows, but navigating it while remaining true to yourself makes it all worth it. You never know who your work may inspire.
