HALFWAY DOWN IS HERE TO IMPRESS WITH THEIR NEWEST SINGLE “NO TIME NOW”

Halfway Down is gearing up to become a pop-punk staple. They are experts on the subject matter, gracefully taking the steps necessary to build an audience that resonates with their sound. Their new single, “No Time Now” is filled with all kinds of Easter Eggs—and, truthfully, it is simply a delight to listen to!

This pop-punk anthem is catchy, upbeat, and reminiscent of what made us all fall in love with the genre in the first place. Heavily distorted guitar riffs and moving drumlines are here to rule the day once again.

Lyrically, “No Time Now” could be this generation’s “1985” by Bowling For Soup.

Of course, this could be a complete coincidence; there are only so many notes and chord progressions in music. There have often been times when artists get accused of “stealing” a riff when they are interpolating it or sampling it. Or, a song might just be in the same key with the same BPM as something an audience is already familiar with. However, it is not lost on this journalist that a song discussing growing pains may sample a beloved song from the artist’s youth. It is a clever move.

Though Halfway Down is just on their 3rd single, they are full of potential. With their unmistakable energy and love for making music, one can only assume the group has a bright future ahead of them.
