Michigan’s shoegaze heavyweights Greet Death are officially back with a vengeance. The band has announced their long-anticipated new album, Die In Love, due out June 27, 2025—their first full-length release since 2019’s critically acclaimed New Hell.
To mark the announcement, the band has shared a towering new single, “Country Girl,” a fuzzed-out, emotionally dense track that dives deep into themes of identity, alienation, and psychological detachment. It's introspective and cinematic, drawing inspiration from classic horror aesthetics—think Halloween, The Fog, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. The song’s eerie, slow-burning tension is matched perfectly by its surreal music video, which looks like it was plucked straight from A24’s moody horror lineup.
With Die In Love, Greet Death appears to be leaning even further into their uniquely dark atmosphere—fusing shoegaze textures with post-rock weight and emotional vulnerability. The record promises to explore personal transformation and existential dread, wrapped in the band’s ever-evolving sonic palette.
Pre-orders for Die In Love are available now via the band’s official site, including limited edition vinyl pressings. A full tour announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
Between the emotionally crushing heft of “Country Girl” and the promise of an album titled Die In Love, it’s safe to say Greet Death is coming back bigger, bolder, and more beautifully bleak than ever.
