GRAVE SECRETS RETURNS WITH DIY ANTHEM “BLUFFSIDE”

LA’s finest, Grave Secrets, have been making waves in the scene long before they signed to Emo Nite LA’s flagship record label, Graveboy Records. Their raw determination and unbridled grit pair perfectly with their political commentary. Their newest single, “Bluffside,” tackles tough topics fearlessly—the way DIY always sought out to do.

Originally an outlet for sociopolitical expression, DIY offered local music scenes the space necessary to express their thoughts and ideas. Grave Secrets does this expertly in “Bluffside,” with an MCR sample (interpolation? Coincidence????) at the forefront. Not only is the single socially relevant, but it is also catchy. As. Hell.

This is arguably their best work; of course, they’ve always been a categorically “good” band in terms of skill and creativity. However, at this stage, their work transcends any metrics. Instead, it speaks for itself, with resonant lyrics and a solid instrumental backing them up.

The release comes in perfect timing as their label, Emo Nite’s Graveboy Records, releases a compilation CD ahead of Warped Tour. Aptly titled, Good Luck Finding Something To Play This On, captures the spirit of good ol’ pop-punk, just like “Bluffside” by Grave Secrets does.

I began as a bystander, observing Grave Secrets’ rise to mainstream consciousness, and I am emerging as a fan. They check all of my boxes for “ones to watch,” with expert musicianship, free-flowing emotions, and unabashed realness overtaking everything they do. “Bluffside” is a certified hit that will go triple platinum at my house.
