GLOM UNVEIL FINAL SINGLE “FIRE” AHEAD OF SOPHOMORE LP RELEASE

Brooklyn’s fuzzy alt-rocker’s Glom are back at again, this time with their final single release, “Fire”, before dropping their second LP Merit on December 4th. Glom’s latest effort is rhythmically intricate exhibiting the sublime synergy between each of the six multi-instrumentalists.

Lead singer, Peter Beiser says that “Fire is a song about frustration - frustration born from writer’s block due to his struggle fighting through insecurities to find a new mode of expression.”

It certainly isn’t immediately apparent “Fire” was crafted through an annoyance of lack of creative ideas. Each instrumental layer of the track works so well in accordance with each other, weaving by the other and joining forces when the mood fits. “Fire” kicks off with an instant alt-rock bounce which sets a solid foundation for the sparking synth top lines and Peter’s clear-cut vocals.

Full of a stylistic 90’s attitude and almost lo-fi indie rock sound, Glom has crafted a rock-tinged yet almost dreamy single. The group’s releases this year promise an exciting LP release next month with what they describe as “the kind of music you could only make with your best friends.
