FROOGLE'S NEW SINGLE "SMOKE SIGNALS" IS FOR THINKING PEOPLE AND PARTY ANIMALS
Houston, Texas native Froogle’s new single “Smoke Signals” name-checks his hometown and calls out the government, speaks out in favor of preserving natural habitats and his disdain for capitalism. The unpredictable single comes on hard and fast with a dire glimpse into a looming apocalyptic future society but with a sense of humor intact. The rowdy, frenetic, raw, and aggressive song is wild and out of control. “Smoke Signals” is awash in driving guitar licks, lots of fuzz tone effects, and distortion. Froogle sings like a man on a serious mission with a maniac glee, but at the same time, as someone who wants to have a good time. There’s even a surprise melodic interlude with birds blissfully chirping in the background. Perhaps it is a wistful, brief ode to Froogle’s grand vision of utopian paradise versus sheer greed at any cost to humankind described in “Smoke Signals.”
