"FIND YOUR LIGHT" THROUGH NEW INDIE ROCK SINGLE FROM LOUIE RUBIO
I never knew it was possible to want to dance to a song with lyrics like, “You kill yourself, just to make a livin'...You cheat yourself, Cause that's the way you win it,” but multi-instrumentalist Louie Rubio made it possible. His new track is catchy and relatable to this capitalistic society we live in, where we do find ourselves selling our souls just to make money and killing ourselves just to survive. Rubio is able to create a song with indie rock rhythms and lyricism through great storytelling.
The track features a 60s Fender Bass, a drum groove, and an 80s-inspired pre-chorus melody that transports you to Studio 54 or Woodstock. The story in the song tells of a situation where the protagonist is most likely selling their music or signing a contract and ends up losing all control of themselves for money. There is a fear of losing what you worked so hard for and settling for less, it’s too real of a situation in the music business in LA. Louie Rubio has solid control over the music he releases and wants his listeners to acknowledge his craft and sound. Along with his first two singles, Rubio wrote, recorded, and mixed everything himself. Take a listen to the many layers within the track that carry his smooth vocals and groovy instrumentals.
