FENCER’S INTROSPECTIVE SINGLE “ALL I DO” ENCITES HEALING ENERGY

Often, a good song is marked by its catchiness; in this instance, Fencer are masters of the craft. Their new single, “All I Do,” will be stuck in your head for weeks. That hook is clean, intentional, and well-composed, 3 of my main categorizations for an A+ track. The band states that the song was written during a rough period after a breakup, and the emotional weight is felt throughout the track.

Sometimes, well-rounded lyricism overshadows instrumentals, but this is not the case for Fencer. Their tight instrumental perfectly matches the lyrics, allowing the listener to experience the narrator’s feelings in real-time, even though it was a past-tense incident.

Vulnerable art is always the most resonant. Many will relate to Fencer’s story, which might assist others in how it was needed when the song was written. Art is a beautiful thing in that way.

Sonically, the track has a very “classic rock” vibe, though it is described as “poppy garage rock.” It’s reminiscent of songs I grew up listening to by The Rolling Stones, with melodies and voices that stand out among the crowd.
