“ENEMY” BY DARK DAZEY IS PERFECTLY MOODY
Dark Dazey’s upcoming album is one to watch out for if it sounds anything like the record’s third single, “Enemy.” Their music is best suited for Pink Floyd and She Wants Revenge fans, which may seem like an eclectic comparison, but it makes total sense within the first few seconds of “Enemy.”
A heavily distorted guitar riff introduces the song, leveraging several different techniques, borrowing from psychedelic rock and heavier music rather equally. The guitar solo at the bridge is phenomenal; those pinch harmonics are enough to convert anyone into a fan.
Dark Dazey’s ears for creativity will take them far. The enthusiasm to push sonic boundaries, paired with clearly skilled musicianship, are two key ingredients for a band, especially in alternative subgenres. This band passes both tests with flying colors.
